OK...............You shouldn't have a problem training your hands to use a razor, I'm thinking!
Welcome along.

Welcome to the forum, and Thanks for the Scotch. :) Presently, I'm a Lagavulin man.
Dovo makes a great razor, you won't be disappointed. You can purchase one that's quite nice, and you won't break the bank. Paddle strops are fine, I use them mainly for pastes. For everyday stropping, I prefer a hanging strop.

I understand that this is a post for another forum, but I love Lagavulin. I'm drinking the 16yo every night in bed with a book and it's great. Laphroig is too peaty for my taste.
My favourite though is the 1987 vintage of Benriach bottled independantly by Gordon and Macphail in Elgin in the CC collection.
I'll shut up now, but whisky and shaving is a good combination :P
Just to drag this further off topic, you should try jims choice if you can ever get a hold of it, comes from a distillery called glengoyne not far from glasgow, very very nice..
Hello...Welcome to SRP. I have both a Dovo Best Quality and a Dovo Special made shave ready By Lynn Abrams. I get great shaves from both and they are good, solid, dependable blades, you won't be sorry by Dovo.My Stepdad (RIP)was from Knightswood,Glasgow. I will always have a soft spot for the Scots especially folks from Glasgow. Y'all are good people. :tuWelcome !
Glengoyne is nice, I was fortunate enough to be gifted a sample of the 40yo which I still haven't opened, I also visited the distillery last summer and it's just beautiful (going on the whisky trail in a week's time too which should be fun). But to bring this back on topic, I'm realy loving shaving with the dovo and I'm starting to get the hand of stropping (if only on my belt and the palm of my hand).
By the way if you haven't seen it I posted a few things in the more appropriate whisky thread of the parlour part of the forum.
Welcome to SRP!
