Hi there, my name is Chris Partida. I live in Whittier, CA - a good little town with lots of history.
I have always been intrigued with straight razors, and also safety razors as my grandpa would use them daily. Unfortunately, when he passed, they were all divided up and I was too young to get to keep any of them.
Now, I am nearing 28 years old and want to start my own collection worth passing down to those that admire them, just like I did as a child.
Currently, my collection is just two straight razors - the first was a foolish purchase of some run-of-the-mill modern value razor, not really worthwhile, but I was hasty to have one a few years back. My second is what I really wanted: something old, something with character, and something that is going to take some elbow grease to get back to glory. I don't know the specifics of my new razor other than it's called a "Bulldog Razor", so I hope that you can help. I plan to follow this post up with a few photos of my first restore project.
