Thanked: 5I'm living east of Saskatoon on an acreage. Our yard site is about 9 acres or so, but we bought the whole quarter section. Pretty sweet move - it's nice having more space for my hobbies. Saw a couple moose on the property while I was out walking the other morning.
Just finished another shave with the straight - went very well.

Thanked: 5I'm actually visiting my sister in Edmonton right now. Any good places to check for vintage razors? Looking for something to learn to hone on eventually.
The acreage is pretty awesome; we were out walking the dog around my sisters place and its weird walking her in the city. Not used to it.Last edited by fdben; 01-29-2011 at 06:51 PM.

Thanked: 1195Welcome to E-Town, buddy!
Unfortunately Edmonton is not a Mecca of lovely undiscovered straight razors waiting to be given a good home. Most of them I've seen here are junk, with the good ones likely picked over by our local SRP members. There is an antique mall south of Whyte Ave that occaisionally has a find or too, perhaps one of the flea markets, just don't get your hopes up.

Thanked: 74Man, getting good stuff from the antique mall was so much better when I was the only member in Edmonton. Now I risk it on eBay.
Welcome to the forum from a fellow sask boy. I grew up an hour east of P.A. I still like wearing my bunnyhug and drinking the occasional Vico.
