Hi All, I have been lurking for a while after stumbling across your site while searching for information on straight razors.
A little back ground information on how I came to be here;
Shaving has always been a chore for me, I have tried electric shavers and didn't get on well, felt my skin was being destroyed and it just couldn't give a thorough shave. Have been wet shaving with a Mach 3 for years but as little as possible. My skin was always feeling pretty sore after shaving and then I walked past a barbers in Morocco while on holiday and a couple of guys were having straight razor shaves. I found myself looking into it when I got home and then finally I bought a starter set, strop, razor, shaving foam etc.
Since using the straight razor it no longer feels like a chore, I look forward to my next shave and take a little time over it and enjoying the whole process. My skin has never felt so good after a shave too. (apart from the odd nick which I usually don't even notice until the blood starts to appear).
So I would like to thank Lynn for setting up this forum and the mods for the work they put in as well as the community, It has been vital in helping me progress with the scary looking piece of steel.
Thank You.
