    Smile New to SRP and Looking for that closer shave!

    I'm Mike (46 years old) from Birmingham, Alabama and new to straight razor shaving. I love it when I go to the barbershop and they shave my neck with a straight razor after my hair cut. This seems to be a thing of the past as everyone wants to use clippers and on to the next person. Someone mentioned to me that shaving with a straight razor is much better for you than a multi blade razor so here I am looking for a mentor and ready to learn. I have done my research and purchased two Dovo straight razor and a strop. I already have a badger brush, alum block and several different shaving soaps. I have been using the Art of Shaving products for quite some time now but I am looking to up my game.

    Looking for help.

    welcome aboard!! sounds like all you need is to get started. Just watch plenty of stropping and shaving vids on you-tube. Just take baby steps and in 3 months your shaves will get a little better and they will keep improving with time,Enjoy the ride!!!!!!!!!!!!
