New on SRP. Knifemaker
Hi there, SRP's
I'm new here, but not really into straight shaving... yet:D
I have made some knives of the type known as Scandies, mainly with my own blades. But regular Scandinavian knifemaking is getting too common. I'm not able to "invent" anything... or be the introducer of new styles.
But this year, in the Danish Knifemakers Guild's Competition, the special class is folding knives... And the straight razors I know, are folders ;)
So I'm here for getting to know more about Straight razors, so I can improve my razor-making skills.
Best regards,
Kristian

Hello Kristian and welcome from a fellow Dane. Although I was planted here by my great grandfather, it's a good place to have roots. It's good to have another original Viking hanging around to keep the other wannabes in line. ;) :)
This is a very good place to learn about razors. Knives are easy by comparison. I will say that the study of razors will take you right to the edge when it comes to sharp.

Welcome Kristian, I too am a knifemaker I would say start shaving to get an understanding of the experience and to understand the grinds and such. Shaving with the straight is alot of fun. I cannot wait to try making my first soon. Good luck, Chris M
