I've been on several DE sites for a couple of years and finally decided to give straights a go. I like using DE's but after the Iridium fiasco I decided enough was enough. I figure if I can learn with a straight, they can't discontinue it.
So Far I've gotten a whipped dog strop and instructions. I've got a recently honed (Thanks Bong!)Robert Klaas to start with. I should be starting this next week!!
