Newbie from northern New York State.

Hello, everyone. I too am new to this and signed to this website hoping to learn more. I haven't yet purchased anything in the way of a razor or other items. To my knowledge, there is virtually nothing in my area (Plattsburgh, NY) in the way of mens' shops or specialty shops that offer str8 razors. Let me say that I'm at a point in my life (semi-retired) where slowing down to enjoy the finer things in life is becoming more important to me. There are few rituals or places left that are the exclusive domain of men. I just want to get in touch with those that are left, I guess. Fine cigars, a quality drink and yes; a straight razor shave somehow seem to define for me what it is that used to make men unique. Any help, advice, or comments with new purchases or anything else will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
