Hey! Welcome to SRP, nice to have another person from Vancouver here lol. Though I'm a newb as well. How have your shaves been going? I've been at it almost 3months. Anyways I'm babbling, if you have any questions nows the time to ask. Tons of people here to help you out. Good luck!

I was wondering who else from vancouver was on here lol. The shaves have been going well... kinda sorta. I recently found some pretty good instructional videos that instructed me to use both my left and right hands to shave. In the past i had been only using my dominant hand so the results were sub par and painful lol.
Today was my first semi quality shave after tweeking my technique a little. so im excited for tomorrows shave.
One thing i definatly need to work on is my blade angle while doing ATG, WTG, and XTG passes. ill post my progress later on this week.
Thanks for your msg

Welcome
I have some questions for you:
What is/are your razor(s)?
Who honed it/them?
Please feel fre to spend a lot of time in the wiki.
Jockeys has some great youtube videos.
Although a bit of a drive I welcome you to the next meet in Spokane, WA. If you need info just ask.

Right on! Sounds like you are doing great. I have alot of trouble with the ATG on my neck. I'm fair confident while I handle the blade but getting my neck smooth has been an issue for quite some time now. I find myself having to go over to my Mach3 to finish up. Shameful really lol.

Thanked: 275I'm in Richmond, just across the Fraser River from you.
I don't know if we have enough people for a meeting; there are probably some hiding in the woodwork.

Im going to try at my ATG angles tonight and see what i can come up with.

I'm in Richmond all the time for work. Awhile ago I was looking for someone to teach me to hone. My Boker Treebrand needs the bevel reset. A long story, mistakes were made lol. I am interested in how many of us are in the area? If there are enough, a meet up may be in order?

Ya i definatly agree that a meet should be arranged. Whats better for people? weekend, weeknight? A venue that is most convenient and centralized?
I can put something together and we can see how many people will show up

Tuesdays and thurdays work for me after work. Weekends as well. Though that's likely to get me skinned, my GF doesn't quite understand the straight razor thing. LOL. Anyways, I'm cool with whatever everyone else wants. That is if everyone is cool with a 27 yr old in the group
100th post!!! LolLast edited by HigherFasterNow; 07-14-2011 at 09:48 PM.
