New Guy Here
Hello all. My name is Troy. I've been wanting to give the straight razor a go, but haven't dove in yet. I've been shaving with my Merkur Safety Razor for while now and think I'm ready to try out a straight razor. I've looked into a couple vintage razors and fell in love with the Boker King Cutter. Now I just got to find one that isn't too badly damaged so I can get it fixed up or a reasonably priced restored one. Again, hello and looking forward to learning a lot from everyone.

Hi, don't delay any longer.

Welcome Troy! Instead of finding a razor that needs restored, might I suggest finding one that is to your liking and shave ready here in the classified's. There are quite a few guys who sell razors at a good entry level price that are ready to go & would last you virtually a lifetime. Of course you will need a few other things like a strop to maintain that razor (you might try www.ruprazor.com for a filly that is affordable), shave soap & brush (I hope you have these since you use a DE), and maybe a barbers hone or Naniwa 12K.
You might also visit here: http://straightrazorpalace.com/vbgooglemapme.php and maybe you can find someone relatively nearby who might take the time to show you the ropes. Mark where you live as well...
