    Thank you. I think that is the direction I am heading. I was in the classifieds earlier hoping to find someone local (in MA).

    I'm over in central Mass and haven't found anyone locally. No surprise. But there are many good honers here at the forum, so it's a quick run to the post office, and in my experience, a short wait.

    For what it's worth, Larry at whippeddog.com charges $13 which includes return shipping and his turn-around is pretty fast. I have also had the pleasure of getting a blade honed at Straight Razor Designs and it was a very nice edge. There are others around that I am sure are good but I haven't tried them
