Thread: Hello from Philadelphia

Hi Guys,

My name is Ray, I am a 22 year old newbie from Philadelphia, PA. After a recent visit to the Art of Shaving store with a good friend, I was hooked. Soon after, I bought a shave ready straight edge razor from Larry (whippeddog.com), TOBS sandalwood soap, along with a Parker silvertip brush. Just had my first shave... After two nicks and several razorburns (all over my entire face), I am glad to come out with both ears and nose lol. Anyways, I hope to meet you guys and hopefully learn a thing or two to get better at this.

Definitely spend some time in the wiki as well and always, always ask questions. We have a lot of information in past threads and the search can quickly become your friend, but if you can spend some time looking around the member map and the get togethers section to find people in your area. You will learn much more in person than you will ever learn online.

The search box is your friend tons of information in the old posts, and in the rare chance you can not find the information your looking for there is always some one whom will answer your question ridiculously quickly.

Thanks guys! I appreciate it. I took a look at a couple forums and there is a great deal of information to be learned. I don't know if I will ever need to ask considered the number of threads on this site lol. But thanks again guys, it was nice to meet ya.
