From the Burgh
Hello all, I'm Justin from the Pittsburgh area and I've been looking at straight shaving for almost a year. This forum is absolutely the best source of info. out there and I wanted to thank everyone who makes it possible. Over the weekend I was given a collection of 18 (!) straight razors that my dad bought 35 years ago at an antique store and forgot about till now. So I guess its time to bite the bullet and introduce myself as I will have a ton of questions in the future. Anyway, hi again and nice to meet you!

Welcome from a semi-newb! I'm sure you'll fit right in, although inheriting 18 straight razors at the start is kind of like cheating... I imagine you may not develop a case of RAD like the rest of us tend to.
Please stop by the Wiki for a good rundown of what you'll need, and how to use it all. Don't hesitate to ask any questions that come to mind, either.
Finally, take it slow, and try to enjoy the ride (bumpy as it may be!)

Thank you. I still have the RAD as all of my razors need polishing and honing at the very least.
