    Default Newbie coming on board.

Hi you guys I have always been one that really did not enjoy shaving. I could easily go a week before shaving. Then my wife purchased a Art of Shaving power razor with preshave oil, shaving cream and after shave balmalong with a badger hair brush. I have not enjoyed shaving so much that I decided to buy a Dovo straight razor and strop from Straight razor designs. My first shave was a rude awakening and i soon realized that this is going to have a learning curve. I am enjoying my new straight razor but still need to figure out how to get my chin area so I clean up with the power razor. I have ordered Lynn Abrahms dvd "The world of straight razor shaving" It should be here tommorro. I have learned alot from this forum and look forward to being a new member

    Welcome!

As a newbie my self I can say that while there is a learning curve the end result is worth it. My chin is a hard spot, but improvement is visible with every shave. Stick with it and you wont be disappointed!

You have started out in the right direction with Lynn's dvd & equipment from SRD. If I can be of assistance, please don't hesitate to contact me. BTW, the chin was a booger for all of us. Give it 30 shaves & you will be hooked...I warned ya!

Welcome to the SRP. Take a good look at Lynn's DVD and don't forget to check out the Wiki. Also, there are a bunch of folks here that are always willing to help.

Enjoy, the shaves only get better.
