    Default inherited razors

    Hi I am john from mississippi I just inherited my grand parents house and land and in the attic I found several razors duram duplex WW2 shave kit a twinplex stropper a IXL george wostenholm blade with the pretty engraving on the blade a wade and butcher wedge and a few more blades I never heard of a small very high grit yellowish looking stone looks like the cotutile hone a strop and some Gillette razors I now do DE shaving but can't quite get the straight sharp enough I will be investing in a norton 4/8k combo stone but I love the chalenge I have made new scales for the ones that the scales were broken I also fly model helicopters and aircraft

    Welcome to SRP. We would love to see some photos of the razors. The durham duplex isn't something we use here but the Wostenholm and the Wade & Butcher made great shavers. Having your grand father's razor to shave with is a wonderful thing. A member from Mississippi, RazorTalkin is a really great honer. If you were to send him a PM he may live near you. I don't know for sure. Might be a good Idea to start off having those pro honed.

    Yea the gillettes were my grand fathers the wade and butcher was my grandmothers dad the genco was my grandfathers father the george wostenholm was my grandfather grandfather the duram duplex was latin kimsey my grandmothers adopted brother and I also got an attic full of useless junk lol ill get pics as soon as posible
