Hello and welcome to SRP! :)
I have no idea about the Simmons, though I seem to recall they are related in some way to Keen Kutters, which I know to be OK razors. Dubl Ducks are good razors also. As far as dating them, I've heard they like to start slow, so perhaps a light supper and a movie? :p
No, there are duck-o-philes all over the place here. I am sure one will be along in a while to help you narrow down the date, perhaps. I'll take a guess that it is post WWII :)
Welcome again, and I hope you enjoy our community!
James.

Oldschool, On the Simmons - I'm not clear if you mean Simmons Hardware. If so, it was likely from early last century before the US slapped Germany w/ nasty tarriffs on imports. If I remember correctly, the German firm ERN made some of the razors for Simmons. Like most of the German imports, the razors were excellent quality. With the imposition of the tarriffs, many US firms began their own production domestically, which gave us excellent US blades. Its pure conjecture on my part, but I would guess that many US firms hired German immigrants in their cutlery companies. If you gave me a Soligen blade and a US blade from that period, I couldn't tell one from the other in the shave.

well as for the dubl duck, i've already polished her and hit her with a leather strap so i think going slow is out of the question. thanks for the welcome message though. and the simmons actually has E.C. simmons sheffield england, and "celebrated hollow ground" stamped on it. im going to look into this Keen Kutters you mention though. thanks for your time
