    Default hello from norfolk va

my name is josh, been shaving with a strait razor on and off since i was 16, and never really knew what i was doing. i got a dovo for my 16th birthday and unfortunately it wound up stolen when i joined the millitary. now with my new base line dovo round point 5/8'' half hollow i am loving life every time i have to shave. i cant wait to have a nice five or seven day set but wow are they expensive.

Josh, for me, I feel sets would be boring.

I'd rather a nice mixture of vintage razors; each with an inbuilt story, each with a personality and style, each with a lesson to teach...
I don't think I'd like to shave with the same razor each day, as nice as it may be...
Stranger, if you passing meet me and desire to speak to me, why should you not speak to me? And why should I not speak to you?

    Welcome to SRP!

Yes, the sets are an attraction for sure. I have, or have had, a few. Currently, among others, I have a Joseph Rodgers 7 day set of wedges with a single snap-on Walrus ivory scale which has to be my most treasured set of razors. I can understand the thought that a set may get a bit mundane, but I personally have not found that to be the case.

In any event, welcome again. I hope you enjoy it here, and I wish you well in your quest to obtain a set one day!

    James.
