    Default Signing in from Norway

    Hello!

    I have just registered on theshaveden.com. That led me to this forum, and why not join here too.

    I live in Norway, and have just been at my parents house to pick up my grandfather's old straight razor. I'm hoping to restore it to a shave ready condition. The razor is a Pollart, from what I have learned so far, it seems to be a 4/8 and a 1/4 hollow/near wedge grind (thanks to Zephyr for the info). The markings read 10 goldene medallien on ine side, and 14 solingen pollart on the other.

    I have never tried a straight before, but finding this razor really got me going. Now I read whatever i can about the subject, but I see that most of it is learned by doing. Can't wait to get started. Firt up, get the razor shave ready
