I had been wondering what would happen if I put the blade in my cartridge case tumbler, and stumbled across this site. BEHOLD! There is just what I was looking for, a whole trainload of information. Wondering if anyone has any info on this razor? Tang is stamped "R. C. Brokhahn Celebrated Razor, Hamburg & New York".It is 4/8, mild swayback, about half- hollow ground, with no serious issues. Had broken and worn horn scales which I removed. Going to try my hand at making scales as I have Padauk, Bubinga, Lacewood, Purpleheart, and walnut that I make pistol grips from. Also have complete small machine shop, Nickel Silver, stainless, bronze etc . I live in New Mexico, 74 yrs. old, retired machinist, gun nut, love fishing, shooting, smoking a pipe, tinkering in my shop.
