    Default Hello from Queens, NY

    Hey guys. I have been lurking on SRP for a few months now and decided to invest in a wet shaving set from SRD. I got myself a Dovo Best Quality set and have been shaving with a straight razor for about 3 weeks.

    After from trial and error... including some tiny scars and a hacked up strop (being replaced ASAP)... I have been slowly getting the hang of it. I love the clean shaves I have been getting and don't think I would ever go back to a Mach 92 or anything of the sort.

    Shaving with the non dominate hand is one of my biggest issues. That, and my facial hair on my neck grows from left to right on the left side, and vice versa on the right.

    I hope to learn much more including proper honing techniques and vintage razor restoration in the future.

    The non dominate hand thing gets easier for sure..

    BTW a bunch of us are trying to get together for a meet in January..You might be interested in attending and meet a few of us and hopefully learn a thing or three..

    Not so nice. lol. I'm on the other side of the highway from Corona. I wish I lived in the rich part of FH. Maspeth is nice too. I used to be around there a lot. Had a few friends in that area.
