    Default Hello!

Hey what's going on everyone. Well, I suppose this going to be a new trend for me. My grandfather (whom raised me) purchased me a Dovo straight razor set for Christmas along with a small bottle of Johnnie Walker blue label and said for me to enjoy. I've been reading up on proper methods and techniques so rather anxious to get to it. Anyhow, My name is Josh, and I'm a chemist by trade, work and live in New Orleans. I did some time in the Marines (8 years) as a grunt, honorably discharged, attended school, obtained degree, and now living life to the fullest. I love to hunt, fish, and whatever I end up killing, I eat. This is my only forum in which I respond to, so I'm rather new to this form of communication. Take Care. Happy New Years.

Welcome aboard! I only joined a few months ago but I must say SRP has been a fabulous resource. Lots of friendly members who are happy to share their experience and opinions.

BTW, I hope your grandfather told that the razor is better enjoyed before the bottle.

    Happy New Year!

Dude! Your grandfather sounds like a champ!! Only a real friend or a real "man" would buy those two items for a x-mas gift! That's classic!

Welcome to the forum - everything you would ever need is here in order that you master your blade - just ask!

    Good luck!

Welcome and props to your grandfather.
Shaving with facial hair is like a golfcourse. It's a challenge of rough and fairways. You are the skilled greenskeeper of your face?
