Hello all,

I'm new to the straight razor scene, and some web searching led me here. This site appears to have a wealth of knowledge and experience, and I'm looking forward to getting started. For now, I'm browsing the classifieds section looking for a good entry-level razor and strop. Any suggestions or thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

If I could give any advise to you the most important thing is to learn as much as you can here at S.R.P. Go slow and enjoy this wonderful passion of ours. There is a learning curve here so practice, practice, practice, and you'll be fine.

Great! Thanks for the prompt reply. I just snagged a razor off the classifieds page, so hopefully in the next week or two I'll be bandaging myself up... but really, I'm looking forward to getting started. I'm sure I'll have more questions soon.
