    Default Newbie from TX

    Hi All,

My name is Kevin, and Im from Kerrville TX. I never did enjoy shaving, when I was in the military I had to shave twice a day for a long while, after that I have shaved only when my Wife finally got made enough. So about 6 months ago I got my first st8 razor shave at a barber in AZ. Needless to say I loved it, so about 1 month ago I bought a razor from a friend, and shave as fast as I can grow my wiskers! My technique is getting better, and the shaves are becoming even more enjoyable. I have a leather and canvas hone, and a chinese 12K stone. I would like to send a razor to a Honemeister to see if my idea of sharp is correct so if anyone has iany info on who I could do that with that would be great. Here is a picture of my collection thus far. My favorite shavers so far are the GENCO de Roma, The radiumite, and the SCHATT& MORGAN. I am giving the Imp its first try later today so very excited about that I was wondering if anyone knows anything about the Radiumite razor? All I know is that is seems to hold a really good edge....Thanks in advance for any help or advice, I happily accept both.

Welcome, those are some nice blades ya' got there. You can check the vendors corner for guys close to you who can do it, if you can't find anyone let me know by PM and I'll hook you up for price of shipping. Cheers!
Mastering implies there is nothing more for you to learn of something... I prefer proficient enough to not totally screw it up.

    Nice collection of razors!

No info on your question but I wanted to say welcome as a "former" Texan (UT alum, lived in Austin and Boerne).

    Welcome aboard!
    Greg
