    Hello. What a great site! I have been considering switching to a straight razor for some time. After reading through the tome of information on this sight, I made the decision. Now I just need to find a razor.

    I am looking at getting a starter kit from the following website. I would love to here any comments on whether these are good kits.

    Welcome to SRP, As far as these starter Kits, they are complete garbage, especially the razors, the steel quality is just not there and wont take or hold a shaving edge. But dont take my word for it im sure others will chime in and give you the same advice.

    Welcome to SRP! You're in the right place to get started right.

    Sadly the starter kits referenced above have disappointed a lot of guys on their start to straight shaving. A couple of guys seem to have a little luck, but it's pretty high stakes and bad odds.

    As an alternative, give Classic Shave, or Straight Razor Designs, or any of the other vendors here at SRP a look. Your starter kit all depends on budget. If you're really strapped you can get a good, quality kit for as little as about $40 said and done. Members here in the classifieds or who have their own websites like whippeddog.com have solid vintage razors and other shaving goods for good prices.

    In every case, these vendors and members have us as their niche market. They work hard to do right by straight/wet shavers.

    Welcome Duece. Steer clear of that site, she's bad news. Try the site that the one you posted is trying to knock off.
