Hello from Georgia/Alabama area
Hello everyone , my name is Steve but you guys can call me scuzzy , I am new to the straight razor world , currently I use a Parker Srb , but currently have a dovo Bismarck , can't wait to get my first official straight razor shave , catch everyone around the forums , later

Hey Scuzzy,
Welcome to SRP!! Glad to have you on the forum. That first straight razor shave, at least for me, was a nervous event.
Does your Dovo have the factory edge, or has it been honed by an experience honer since you acquired? If its the factory edge they are rarely, if ever, ready to give a comfortable shave.
There's lots of good info in the wiki, linked below and the search function at the top right of the page is an excellent resource for quick info and answers.

Mastering implies there is nothing more for you to learn of something... I prefer proficient enough to not totally screw it up.
