Back to Shaving
This is my first week shaving for about a year now. I grew out a beard to hide some extra weight I was putting on. Last week I was looking through some old pictures of mine and realized just how youthful and happy I looked just a few years back. I knew it was time for a change. Originally I just wanted to trim my beard down. Then I saw my razor stand collecting dust and got nostalgic. I opened my bowl of Sandalwood soap and had memories of my childhood learning to shave, and watching my father shave everyday. I stropped up my razor, lathered as well as I could with a thick long beard and began to shave. The beard was gone within ten minutes. I didn't trim the beard down to make things easier, I wanted my SR to do all the work.
The transformation is indescribable. My fiance was so happy she could see my face again she started crying. I feel like a different person, it will take time to get use to, but I am happier without my beard. The only downside is that my skin is having a hard time coping with the change. It is really dry right now, but it is getting less flaky.Shaving is an art, something that fathers pass to sons. Thanks for the suggestion. I never had any issues with dry skin before, so my skin might just need to get use to the shaving process again. I am in need of new soap, so I will have to check out that product. How long does this soap last with normal usage?

I use several different soaps, so I don't use it daily, but I would suspect with daily use it'll last into months.
