Hey Cameron,
Welcome to SRP, glad to have you on board!! Sounds like you're off to a great start, and you certainly have access to a wealth of knowledge and experience through Obie. :)
Reading the wiki here on SRP and Beginner's Tips is a great place to start this journey, and both are linked below. Also, the search box in the upper right hand of the page is an excellent tool for quick access to information. :D
And as always when you have questions that you can't find answers for, ask away.
Enjoy, and again, Welcome!!
Howard :)

Hello Cameron,
I am glad you joined the ranks of gentlemen shavers here at SRP. It's a good place with good people that have a wealth of knowledge. Of course, I'm in town, so anytime you want to drop by the house you're welcome, my friend.
Hey Dude, Welcome !!.... Looking forward to your contributions and observations :D
Welcome to SRP :)
You did well by meeting Obie. He is a very good resource. I doubt that you will find better. :)
You are very lucky to have Obie give you some mentorship.
I wish I had a mentor when I first started. Endless dissection of what was at the time just shaving manuals and diagrams wasn't exactly straight forward.
There is nothing better than a hands on tutorial to really get an idea of the feel.
With youtube now, things are certainly better for newbies.
Welcome aboard.
