Villeroy & Boch bargain

Hanging around waiting for the wife I popped into the above named shop. Couldn't believe they had 2 bone porcelain bowls (perfect shaving bowl size) for £2.70 each. One for me and one for the wife, I will wean her off all my shaving stuff!

As a point of interest for all those snurdlers out there, they also have sugar spoons which would be ideal. Really cool design, quite narrow and not too long with a little rubber grip in stainless steel. About £2.45 each.

The chap looked a little offended when I told him what noble task the bowls would take up :)

Always thought that those little spoons that come with mustard pots for the table could be used as a snurdler too.

Pixelfixed, now I am going to have to dig out all the "snurdlers" I have used over the years when I was actively painting. As soon as I find them and photograph them I will post it on the Snurdler thread. I hate the term "proper". Makes me think of an Englishman serving tea with the little pinky in the air. AND now I'm going to hear from al of my English and Aussie friends in outrage and the like! Oh well.

Sorry,one can use sugar spoons, or mustard pot spoons,but a proper snurdler is a proper snurdler,is only proper to use the correct tool for the task:)

I agree, and disagree, in this instance I am not sure whether there is a proper snurdler as I don't know how recent an invention they are, though I imagine a traditional one would be more of a pop stick. But I think pixel is just playing with us.
And to my knowledge tea isn't served with a protruding pinky, it is drunk whilst having a protruding pinky.

Mustard pots might make quite a nice storage option for shaving cream, I use a marmalade pot as a soap/ lathering bowl, that also has a spoon notch in the lid.
Then you could have cream specific snurdlers to avoid cross contamination.

So what is that thingy then bill? I thought the ivory section looked a bit too thick to snurdle with, but I have never needed to snurdle, so maybe I am wrong.
