I've seen a few guys around these parts make modifications to a toothbrush holder from Ikea or the likes that look quite similar to the stand in question.
Edit: Here's a thread that shows what I'm meaning :)
Saw the ikea one today good for just razors needs heavy mod for a brush i think the dish is great as well, but didn't go for it
stamp rack looks great,
i should say I'm based in the UK, will have a look on amazon uk
Modifying it for the brush is no more work than doing it for the razors.(I have done a couple now)
Just make sure you get one with a flat top plate and not a domed one if you are going to use it for a brush as well.
Trust me the domed top plate is not a good choice for brushes :D
would the width be big enough
and is it a lot of work?
I will need it to hold
a straight
a DE( still haven't got the cojones to shave my head with a straight)
an a Whipped dog 22mm brush
and if my hunch is right another brush after xmas
The ones I have done would be large enough to hold all of that.
A dental bit and barrel sanding bit on a Dremel type rotary tool small file and sand paper.
I draw and then scribe out what I want and begin, I did not time it but I would say 30-45 min start to finish.
I actually found the acrylic one I did to be more time consuming than the stainless steel one.
got to be honest don't know what any of those things are.
i think it will cost me more to buy this stuff than the DOvo no?
If you are setting up from scratch (have no tools) then yes it would cost more than buying the Dovo stand.
You might want to look at Vintage Blades and consider two stands if price is a concern.
I am sure there are other suppliers as well.
