Hone, Kamisori and Western Case

Not sure if this is the right forum location but...

Just thought I'd share a project I just wrapped up this weekend for a fellow member overseas.
It was fun to incorporate the three items he wanted placed in there and am hopeful everything fits just so. I tried to size the Kamisori space such that the tolerance around the handle will prevent any edge contact if it shifts around.

I used a nice piece if wenge which looks beautiful but was harder to work with than the limited amount of other hardwoods I've used. Nice in the end though. Finished in beeswax/orange oil.

Oh and I also realized I probably should of used a mask more often.

Nice case.Did you use a CNC router? I have gotten a high efficiency dust collection system and an air cleaner. Unfortunately I can't take back all the years of working without a mask or smoking.

I have a milling machine I use for metalwork but threw some wood on it one day and liked it! Obviously very accurate but if I want to do curves and such I'd have to put my rotary table on and in general probably a pain (not a CNC).
I can see the dust collection being useful. Seems like it takes me a couple days to get cleared out from inhaling. I wear a dust mask but some inevitably gets thought. And when I wear safety glasses they fog up.

Shane (RoyalCake) made this for me after replying to a 'wanted' ad. And I have to admit that the box looks much better in real life than on the pictures.

Great guy to work with :)

I added a picture of the box with a Nakayama Jnat, Iwasaki Kamisori, and a cheap western razor till I get a nice one. The picture was taken with a mobile phone, with flash, so it isn't the best of quality.
