    Default Dry razor storage

This was inspired by a similar, Ball jar gizmo I saw here on SRP.

I spotted this nice, shatterproof, bail-top jar and metal toothbrush holder at the local Wal-Mart; $8.47 & $8.68, respectively. The blue thing at the bottom is called a DriBox, and is a rechargeable desiccant that is overkill in this application (it's capable of drying MUCH larger containers, but I couldn't find anything else that is so convenient). The DriBox is $7.95 from the manufacturer, but they'll charge that much again for P&H.

Looks like the rig should work well in my humid bathroom as is, but a few tweaks may be in order. What do you think?

Dry rice will serve as a desiccant. Instead if recharging it you just replace it and throw the old stuff into soup!

It's got three large openings, and each should easily accommodate 2-3 razors if they're put in pivot end first.

I remember you telling me about this when you were over - neat idea and I love the execution. Has anyone converted an old babercide container for this purpose?

    State v. Durham, 323 N.W. 2d 243, 245 (Iowa 1982) (holding that a straight razor is per se a "dangerous weapon").

I actually found an old Barbicide jar, but I don't think that any of them have a seal...this jar has a nice silicon deal, and is air tight. I considered trying to make a gasket for the Barbicide jar, but decided this was a better way to go because of the gasket, and because it's shatter proof, too.

I had thought about how to do that with an old king jar. But like Dzanda said I never found a seal that fit my jar well. I saw the old mason jar an toothbrush holder in that other link also an it is a great idea. Secure, sealed, an convenient. Nice job Dzanda. You got all this at wally world?
