    Default My Straight Cigar Box Case

    Hi All,

    There are a few of these cigar box cases getting around the forum but here is my take on the idea.

    I lined and partitioned the box with 5mm balsa wood for two reasons, 1. it's easy to work with and 2. the wood has already been dried so no chance of any excess moisture affecting the razors.

    Total cost including the box was about $20 AUD

    Very nice. I wanted to make a box for one of my stones from balsa. I know its a really soft wood, but I figured that if I dropped the box it would absorb most of the impact and wouldn't jolt the stone. Sooner or later I will try it out.

    Excellent idea and I see you made the razor slots long enough to accomodate most all razor lengths. I must have 40 or so empty Habana cigar boxes stacked in a corner by my humidor.
