My plumber accidently left me with my new favorite shaving towel

I got home from work a couple of weeks ago and a guy had been at my place during the day fixing my sink.
Behind a counter I noticed he had left a bag of Quickie towels, which I had never heard of.

These things are soft as cotton balls, durable, mega absorbent and come out of the laundry looking brand new.
Zero lint makes it onto my blade when I wipe off lather. So much nicer than the regular cotton towels I'd been using.

So, for perhaps the most humble of all shaving equipment, I recommend grabbing some Quickies!

Yup, the more you wash them the better they work, may shrink up a little in the dryer, but I think wick even better…

Those towels are amazing. Try cleaning mirrors, glass, glasses, guns and blades. They don't cost much either.

They pick up dust like nothing else too. I always keep one in the vehicles for wiping the dash. I've never heard of that brand though, but I think they're all the same.

By the way, if you polish with them, soaking in a bucket of simple green and water overnight then toss in the wash with your towels will remove most or all of the black. I have some that I have used for years.

I apply polish with blue shop paper towels and buffy with microfibers, old well washed towels work best. Great for drying your hands and razors, I keep a few in the bathroom for shaving and wipe down the shower doors for a spotless finish, after a squeegee.

A surgeon friend of mine recently had a plumber over to fix a problem. He got the bill and saw that the "labor" portion of the bill was more than $300 for 60 minutes of work. He told the plumber, "that's more than I make an hour!" The plumber looked at him and said, "Yea, it's more than I used to make an hour when I was a surgeon too."

Thanks! Seems they would be perfect for the proper size, the tasks of hot-toweling, Wiping lather, and toweling-off.
I have a few microfiber small towels and there are some qualities they posses which I had not realized were perfect for shaving. In fact..They are blue....Quickies!

On the list!

I had a few that I used for shaving those microfiber work wonderfully!!

Been using the "Kirkland" brand from costco for a few years, mine are yellow, I just be sure to was the towels separate from other items as we have small and large dogs, with their hair and weeds/straw/cheek grass, I have too. If you use them in the shop like I do, Leave them there as you will never get all the buffer grit, etc. out of them, so I use new ones on my eye glasses, those work best a tad dirty and worn in...
