Long story short..I just received my late grandfathers Barber tools. I even have his original Barber License..June 1931... he was 25 . Will be posting some of the items...cuz I have no idea what there are...and might need some help. This pic of these hand clippers are in box ,with instructions...box date inside Jan 2 1937... it's looks like they never been used. Anyone know of these !Attachment 281953

Some boar brushes....the talc containers are 3/4 full and still smell good! The silver Can says...Invisible Talc Yardley LondonAttachment 281956...and is that long hair brush for applying the talc powder ?

Great family heirlooms, wouldn't part with any of it.

I remember a black barber on Ripley's BION that cut hair with fire, but I had never heard of hair singeing as a way to get rid of split ends.
I guess if it works for rope, it works for hair.:shrug:
Just be careful if you decide to start playing barber and try to use that singeing stuff!

That collection takes me back. The only thing missing might be the electric head massager the barber would put on his hand. I used to go to an Italian barber named Joe who always finished with that. He’d say, “You’re done and can go now.” But, I was in such a relaxed state by then, I really couldn’t.
