Dont know anything about the seller, but the scuttle looks like a decent size. It says it holds a lot of water but no amount given. Id be asking how much water it will hold. "Lots" doesn't say much.

I've purchased a shave bowl and a couple of other products from Leslie. She does excellent work, is very reliable and is a pleasure to communicate with. I enjoy my Dirty Bird scuttle, which I'm happy with, but I've often been tempted to order one from Leslie. She's a very reliable vendor.

My favorite is the mug that belonged to my great grandfather: Eugene L. Stoddard (1873 - 1925.)
I am not sure whether he kept this at home or whether it resided at the barbershop in Ludlow, Vermont.

When in doubt, go with a family heirloom!

I use different combinations at different times but I seem to favor the simple maroon coffee cup with a boar brush. It makes good lather and doesn't spread over the top of the cup.Name: bowls and brushes.jpg

As others have mentioned my favorite is an heirloom.

This is my Dad's Hazel Atlas milk glass mug. I can still remember as a little boy watching him make lather and the clink, clink, clink of the brush on the inside. Sometimes he would take the brush and quick swipe my nose with the lather and we would both laugh. Those are the memories that make you ache a little

I'm tempted to try the Phoenix Artisan Accoutrements Intergalactic Travel Scuttle for $19.95.
