Hello, Ray:
That is a good purchase. I have seen that wet pack. It is handsome as well as quality stuff. Well, Daines & Hathaway is a good name. An excellent choice.

Filson has a rugged bag for a shave kit.
Filson
I have this bag and like it alot. It is not light. It is strong and functional.
I have that bugout bag and love it. If I hadnt stored DE razors in the slotted flap with blades installed it would be in perfect condition after over 3 years. I use it daily during and that isnt bad for 20 bucks. I wasn't even the original owner, someone left it behind emptied out at showers in Iraq, after a trip to laundry it looked brand new. So it was a freebie that's lasted.
I think this is the Saddleback Leather Company end product. No doubt looks nice but, personally, I'll stick with the military-style rollup.

It's probably obvious to most, but not to me. What does 'Dopp' stand for in 'Dopp' kit. Is it a military acronym or something similar? It's a description not in common use in the UK.

Thanks for the info.
I see that they were US Army issue in WWII, which probably explains why the name lives on.
Ironic, going to war with a wash bag named after a German.
Hi all,

What do you take with you when you travel, like a mug, type of brush, soap holder, etc.?
