That's one of the few toothbrush / razor holders that I've seen that I would actually use.
Thanks for the link!
it actually works well....I will post pictures of it with my razors in.

That's cool did you find yours in the store or just online?
Got mine in store
Gentlemen:
Target never ceases to surprise the gentleman shaver. Although, I admit, it committed a mortal sin by discontinuing Proraso. I don't use Proraso, but many gentlemen shavers do. I suppose you can't have everything.

Obie
Very cool! *grabs truck keys and heads for the door*
Ya cant even make something that cheap. That is cool Im gettin one!! Thanks for sharing

Hello, eculuke:
That picture looks charming. With such a set up one couldn't help but to get up every morning and float to the bathroom for a good shave. Well done, sir.

Just an FYI...they are now carrying a line of products called "Black African Shea Butter"...a facial scrub and shaving cream. They facial scrub is fantastic and I like the shave cream as well but it does not produce a super rich lather. Viva Target!
My dear kfralin:
Slightly off topic, but thank you for your "Black African Shae Butter" discovery at Target. I saw that product and was tempted to buy the shave cream. Somehow I had the feeling the shave cream, although seemingly quality, would not lather up to meet our high standards here at Straight Razor Place. Now your assessment confirms my suspicion. Thank you.
Ah, yes, Target soars.
Regards,
Obie
Makes a great holder. My local store has several model variations on that. I got a couple of the chrome base with clear plastic spokes. :)
Thanks for the heads up on the holder. I've been trying to find one that is cool. The wife like target too, so I can make a shave trip under the radar.
Very handy!
Wow I had a good find!!!
I just got home from Target yesterday when I saw this post. So I had to make a special trip today just to get this, and it was absolutely worth it. It's a great find, thank you!
One question, I see all the pictures have the razors standing on the tang rather than the other way around...is there a reason for this (protecting the blade/scales/etc), or just the way you think they look best?
I thought it looked good....hahah
I have the exact same setup from target except all stainless and love it.
What a great cheap find and it looks like that it was it is meant to do.
I was tempted to rush to Target to get one for myself when I realized that I only own 2 razors, one of which has it's own home in the stand that holds my brush and lather bowl.
Wait, I've got an idea.. Buy the stand, put my lone razor in the stand, point out to SWMBO what a bargain the stand was (she's a sucker for bargains), complain to SWMBO that the stand just might tip over without a counter-balance... order another razor...
Yea, that's the ticket:)
I picked this up at kohls
I googled for other versions and found many more at target and others
Hmm... I wonder if this thread has anything to do with Target's website for the green stand now says, "This item out of stock."
(darn it!)
maaaaaaaan, I just got home from Target after buying a snaplink to hook my strop to the wall, oh well, at least I only live a half mile away
Well, no Target where I am, but I just wanted to say that the general enthusiasm on this thread really brightened my day. :)Thanks!

I went to an antique mall and use pipe holders to store my razors:
1. With straight razors (soaps in humidor) in walnut
2. With double edge razors (soaps in humidor)
3. With pipes (its original purpose--had to take the pipes to get the rack)

Note: you have to be sure that the holes on top are wide enough to accomodate your razors. Some aren't. I have a couple of other pipe racks:
1. Another in oak (holds 10)

2. Another in walnut (humidor in middle)

Bed bath and beyond also sells these same stands + some more fancy ones.
Don't mean to be a kill-joy but, on the pipe picture, the pipes are supposed to be placed the other way-round... sorry. The reason is simple. That position may bruise the finish on the pipes and if they are placed with the stems up the dry out better. Just a note.
Very cool stands, by the way - and a brilliant way of using those items. Thanks for sharing!
LOL!!!
Guess you'd believe me if I told you I don't smoke. It's pretty clear I don't know which end is up!
I had to take the pipes to get the stand.
I needed something that held more than one razor and couldn't find anything anywhere. Somebody is making some real nice brush stands for me out of coconut shells. The guy who is selling stands for both in the classifieds over here might get a lot of business.
Another case of necessity being the mother of invention.
I saw a pipe holder like that yesterday and thought of buying it to I like how you can store the soaps in the jar. I ended up getting a DE razor instead.
If you still have the pipes and don't want them I'd be Happy to give them a good home.
To the original poster great find. I look through Target and other similar stores all the time and that is a perfect holder with the slots being so big at the top. Most have tiny holes. Also Target sells nice Jars with lids that have a seal on the top if you have a lot of humidity to worry about look for one tall enough and wide enough to fit the hole holder inside of. You can even put moisture absorbing material in the bottom first to really protect your blades.
The kitchen section also has some great mugs for shaving mugs.
almost looks like a test tube holder but...seems to work well...thanks for the idea
Outstanding find! I'll probably be picking up the one with the antique glass, as you have shown. Thanks for sharing it with the community!:)
