I would like a 7 day razor box like those used in the 7 day kits. I'm not really a fan of the roll up.
Anyone know where (or anyone who makes/supplies) to get one?

...Or here (cheaper). I have this and it is great.
If you expand your collection, you may wish to get a 28-day razor display case, like this one here. it is also great
I've also heard of people using pen displays like this one here (although it says unavailable...you get the idea though)..I haven't had any experience with this, but I am sure they'll work great.
Contact SRP member "Oldblades". Tim will hook you up with the best!
You can even have your own design engraved into the box!
That case is beautiful!!! I know what i'm getting for christmas! Although, I'm going to a local antique store. The owner is a friend of the family. She's gonna get out all her razors. She said she also has a glass cabinet that was for pocket knives. Maybe it can be modified for my straights.
Can't wait til she gets out her razors. She said she has a dozen or so. I'll probably buy them out if they aren't crap. Even if some aren't in the best shape...I can use them to practice honing.
*fingers crossed that there are a few gems*
I have both, and regret purchasing the larger of the two. It's ungainly large, requiring an even larger surface upon which to place it, and all that glass is an invitation to "something" to fall upon (and crack) it.
No, the 7-day box, with its smaller form-factor, is the better one; and, it's portable/packable -- try doing that with the 28-day version.
Of course, (as JimmyHAD would say) "YMMV".
I haven't had any problems using both into one of my dedicated chest drawers and no problems with things falling on it or problems taking it out or being portable. I agree though that the smaller one is more maneuverable. If I am not mistaken, they also make one without the glass top.
Rockler the woodworking company makes a box for displaying pens. I bought one for my razors and it's just what you're looking for. It holds seven razors, has a glass top and a commercial finish on the wood. Here's the link:

Check it out.
I sent you a PM.
deffinatly go with Joebehar! I just had my case finished by him and it was sooo worth the money..heres a pic! Attachment 96362
+1 on Joe he makes awesome stuff
I have one of the TI "Beech and Black" boxes. It's definitely not worth the money. Sloppy workmanship, slots too narrow, rough surfaces on the insert (the only place where the razors actually touch something). The "black" part is a very cheap-looking piece of plastic. Avoid.
I understand the workmanship on the burl model is a totally different story, but I've never seen one in person.
This one is a little pricey but it looks sweet. VSR sells the box that comes with the set in the link below.

Could be what your looking for or give you some ideas. I personally don't care for the handle but to each his own.
Not to hijack this thread...but has anyone ever REPAIRED an old one? A side busted, back missing, needs a refabric and releather...is that even doable? If this crowd says "no"...of all crowds...I will know it can't be saved :)

Buy a wooden cigarrbox for $3 and make one by yourself
This was my weekend project. Cost about 15$ to make. Took me about 4 hours. 5$ box from Joann's, some dowels, felt, stain, a piece of glass salvaged from an old scanner and a couple neo magnets for to replace the cheap latch. Attachment 109983Attachment 109984Attachment 109985
Very nice. How did you place the glass into the top?
I cut the glass so that I had about an 1/8" of play on all sides so it left me about 3/8" overlap. I put a pencil eraser sized dab of hot glue on all four corners and pressed the glass in place. I figured I'd need more but it seems to be holding very well. It's not exactly moisture proof but I was thinking about maybe grabbing some clear silicone to finish sealing it off. But I'm not sure I think that's really necessary. I'll just grab some silica packets from a shoe box or two.
Very cool box! I've seen some display cases at Michael's that have an acrylic piece in the front - but they're about $50 for a large one. Myself being not so handy, this is still in the back of my mind for possible future exploitation. ;)
