Has anybody seen anything like this I want to order one, but I'd get killed in shipping.

I remember seeing them at one of the US sites before. I also remember the reviews not being great.
This is what I use to keep the razor clean during a shave, works great and biodegradable.

Some people use a sponge. I use a bar towel, the kind that bartenders use to wipe off glasses.
I am a big fan of using the AWP as well.
Gentlemen:
A small micro fiber towel works quite well for me. Dearly beloved found a dozen of them and trimmed them neatly to suit my purpose.

Obie
I'm a sponge guy myself. You can get three of these songes for a buck and change at Walmart. I use them till they're pretty nicked up then throw them away.
I'll take that as a no. Those ventriloquists creep me out.
I can only tell the purpose of that weird thing by the answers.
I rinse with hot water and use TP to dry and clean afterward. To be honest, I spend enough money on stuff I need, and I really don't want to justify expenses of gimmicks to the wife.
Not that she doesn't support my habit, she does, but that I rather not cash in my chips for borderline usable stuff.
But that's just me. If you pick one up let me know how it works for you, as it may turn out to be the next "must have" piece of shyte. :)
I use a rubber thing as you show.
Works really well, I used a towel first. but that is not as pleasant as this thing.
After use, rinse and go.
So high shipping costs can not be, according to just fit through the letterbox.
maybe you can cheaply send via this shop link
