    Default Problem with cuts

I was shaving yesterday and i was doing pretty well, however i got a got a fair sized cut on my neck. I used my septic pen the bleeding stoped and i thought that would be the last of it , then i finished my shave. After wards i washed my face and put on after shave. The next day the cut came had scabbed, and turned red. Is there a way to prevent this in the future, should i have waited for the septic pen absorb into my skin before washing my face?

If you get a nick it is best to avoid the area, when shaving again until it is healed.... if i understand the question correctly. To avoid nicks and cuts read my sig below.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

If you got a cut of some size, sometimes using only the styptic won't cut it(no pun intented)

I saw a tip from Lynn Abrams on here a year or so ago, that helped me out a lot.

He used a product called Neosporin. That takes care of any infection when cut. After I bought that my nicks healed way faster, and looked way better.
I've used in together with Styptic. Stop the bleeding first and then I wash it and add some Neosporin.

If it's a large cut the styptic kind of clots up the blood but if you mess with it you will have bleeding again until the under part clots over by itself.

If the skin was red surrounding your cut there is a good chance there might have been an infection. In that case Polysporin or Neosporin works really well. In the mean time try not to shave over that spot, and stop cutting yourself!
