I thought I'd give a little update on my work in progress. Not pictured is a two-door, glass paneled, display cabinet that I picked up for $5. I'm currently refinishing it and when it's done, it'll hold about 11 straights and 12 safeties. The rack on the wall is the first I've seen like it anywhere. It's an old 6 pipe wall rack that I drilled out and repainted. The ad on the wall was a perfect match for an old Gillette Criterion I found in mint condition for $15 still in it's case with matching blade holder represented in the ad. You can see it on the top shelf, right hand side of the rack. You can also see I have a few razors I'm working on now.

To whom it may concern, I am almost finished with my straight/safety display case. Two glass doors, 19" high, 16" wide, blue satin lined, stainless pegged holders, all within a black frame. Pics will soon follow.

It's done. Total cost? $58. $30 of it was from the stainless hardware, $10 from spray adhesive, $3 from spray paint, $7 from batting, $3 from satin material, $5 from the actual cabinet.

Yes!! First, love the wood. Second, that looks like a '40's Old Spice mug you have there. I found one myself and love it. Actually, in all my antiquing in the last 6 months I've only run across two. Third, glad to see I'm not the only one rocking the Old Spice. I've found some from the late '70's off ebay and, yes, it does smell different from the new stuff.

There are two more Old Spice mugs in a shop about 30 minutes from here... They are ancient... 1st or 2nd gen mugs, I think. Unfortunately, the lady wouldn't come off 10 apiece, so I had to leave 'em there due to lack of funds.

I grew up with Old Spice. You mean to say there are other aftershaves? Huh. Who knew?
