Soap dish find. cheap and easy
A couple weeks ago I bought some handmade soaps off the bay. They came in pucks that looked like they were made in a muffin tin and were wrapped in plastic wrap.
So my problem was how to hold them. I could put them in a cup but I didn't want a bunch of cups looking like dirty dishes on the bathroom shelf and I find cups too deep for my personal taste. I have gotten use to the shallow containers a lot of the manufactured soaps come in and that works for me.
I thought about making something like the wooden bowls some of the pricier soaps come in. I decided that was to much trouble and time.
I found these in the candle section at Walmart. They are oversize tea candle holders. I melted the pucks of soap into them and they were just about the perfect size. They fit in my palm nicely and make a good "fist" when loading the brush. They stack nicely and compactly on my shelf. The best part they cost me $1.50 each

Another idea for shaving soap storage
I ran across a container that looks good and looks like it is stack-able. It's called a salt cellar.
Cobalt Blue Glass Salt Cellar - Depression Style Glassware - Kitchen - Miles Kimball
This place has Cobalt Blue, Ice Blue, Red, and Green. The Ice Blue are on sale right now for half of the other colors. I couldn't resist.
