I like that. What is it made from. Looks like a candle holder bent to shape. I've got ideas running through my head now.
Thanks. It is made from 3/8 round stock. It was bent on the horn of the anvil to get the lines smooth. The main frame was made separate from the leaf. The leaf was twisted on hot and is held on by the friction caused when the hot metal shrinks as it cools. It was a lot of fun to make.

That's pretty cool. Nice work Marc!
Nice work. Very cool design.
Kurt
very practical and good looking!!! well thought out in my eyes!!
Nice work, I really like the design!
there are few razor stands out there that look good in my opinion i dont like the single stands that are made of stainless , they just seem lifeless. and there is also very few straight razor shavers that only have one razor lol so on mine i built it to hold 4 razors, my brush , and a styptic pencil. so far it works and looks great. . the wood is osage orange with brass hardware. ive thought about making a few more , maybe in different wood and metal combos. what do you guys think?
That is nice! Did you make the brush holder bracket? I have been hooking for something like that!
I have to ask. What is the white button for? Oh, I'll bet it is styptic.
I think that looks awesome. You did a great job!
That is nice. Gives me ideas for building one like it.
I really like it! My inspiration to head on out to the pole barn and play with my tools just soared. I really like utilitarian quality of your piece: not too decorative, but rather more functional. I think you did a great job! Could you please post the dimensions/hardware manifest for your piece?
I used 1/4" round stock to do the stand and 3/8" square for the leaf. As for total length on the 1/4 I am not entirely sure. I mocked up the stand using a piece of wire and when I had it how I wanted I then measured how much was there. I stated with the base and worked my way up to the brush holder. When I got to the brush holder I again used wire to double check the length that I wanted and cut off the unneeded material.
When I do one again I will make sure to have the spot where the bottom of the razor sits dished out more so it is a more secure base and the leaf a little more curled in on its length.
