Need nice soap dishes? Have a significant other?
My girlfriend was perusing Pinterest when she saw step by step instructions for reusing a glass candle holder like these:

as a container for any random stuff. Of course my mind went straight to shaving and I thought they would make great soap dishes. The metal lids have plastic gasket like pieces on the inside that create a decent seal. They stack okay (tops and bottoms are flat) as long as you're not scared of being clumsy with them.
Measurements as follows:
Inner Diameter = a hair under 3 13/16"
Outer Diameter = 4"
Height = 3 1/2" (from the outside of the glass so the inner height is slightly shorter)
So if SWMBO likes candles, or you want to get your Mom/Sister/Grandmother something nice (and you're heading to bath&body works for your CO Bigelow shaving cream). Pick up some of these candle jars, my lady says they can be on sale, 2 for $20. Just make sure you pick a scent they'll like so they get the empties back to you ASAP.
Instructions from the pinterest site:
When the candle has burned the wax way down (I'd say less than 1/2" left in the bottom) stick the jar in the freezer.
The wax will shrink when frozen and you can then break up whatever is left and scrape out the majority of it.
Then use a paper towel and vinegar, baby oil, olive oil, or any liquid you think will pick up residue of wax that will be left on the inside of the jar.
Peel off the label on the side and bottom and then grate your favorite hard soap into the dish. Fin!
