Favorite Holiday Drinks
Do you have a favorite holiday drink, either alcoholic or non-alcoholic?
I'm a fan of gluhwein, or mulled wine. I first had gluhwein in Germany in the 1990s At the winter markets they had stands where you could buy a mug full of steaming wine to walk around with. This year I'm thinking about trying Wassail.

It's a holiday tradition for me to start the mornings with Irish Cream Liqueur and coffee.

The wife and I have been having hot mulled cider with dinner (simmered with cinnamon sticks, cloves, all-spice and brown sugar-very Christmasy!). I also enjoy the occasional egg-nog with a generous shot of bourbon. The occasional bourbon and coke. A splash of a heavily-peated Islay scotch on a cold evening is also great.
And on Christmas day, I'll go over to my brother's house, where I have my annual Crown Royal XO (his house pour) with ginger-ale and lime over ice-just a delicious drink, and I always leave wondering why I don't drink more Canadian. Anyway, Merry Christmas to all however you enjoy it!

a nice glass or two of port at Christmas time for me.
Mulled wine and Irish cream also goes down well too.

I'm a creature of habit and don't change much at the holidays.
Two to three fingers of good small batch bourbon like Blanton's or Woodford Reserve Double Oaked with one ice cube.
A side of ice cold beer.
Cheers!!
