My sister & I used to pull a wagon around the neighborhood after school, picking up those bottles, washing the dirt off with the hose, cause they won't take them all nasty.
2 cents a bottle,, then later they went to a nickel. That bought a lot of candy for us.
It's the real thing.:beer1:
I don't drink soda very often, but when I do, I like to get a Mexican coke. Most of the taqueria's and convenience stores around here have them. My son and I did a side by side taste test with the US and Mexican Cokes and the Mexican Coke definitely won.
Does the bottle say "Mexican Coke" or does it sell under another name?
It's in a glass bottle but the writing is in Spanish. When sold in the US they will add a sticker with nutrition facts in english. The main difference in the actual soda is the use of cane sugar vs. corn syrup in the US version. Attachment 256028
I'm gonna look tomorrow when I get the Super Bowl Goodies & look for the fancy cheese too.
I swear they changed the recipe back in '29, just doesn't seem to have that same buzz...Have had to add Bourbon to it ever since...
Love the Mexican coke, we get it at times.
I did not find the Coke yesterday but did find a little puck of the cheese. I had some with crackers during the first quarter. It was good.
I drink Red Bull
Made with real drugs :)
During a voyage to the South Atlantic once, we stopped at Port of Spain Trinidad for re-supply. The cook ordered 4 cases of Coca-Cola. It was made with cane sugar, they grow a lot of that in Trinidad and Tobago, and without question was better than the stuff made with corn syrup.
I remember having a RC draft cola in the 90s with cane sugar. Great stuff.
RC cola and a Moon Pie! or if your a St Louis native a Fitz root beer ,, Freddie thanks for reminding us of the simple pleasures in life, and we don't need 16oz soda pops, they started ruining soda after the 8 oz or 10 oz bottle.
John if you have any mexican food stores like La Tienda, they always have the Mexican Coke,, usually in a refridge case, I find them just about everywhere ive been

If RC is royal crown, yeah that is a nice cola. Reminds me of the original coca cola recipe.
