Just polishing off my second glass of Rauschbier. Homemade with about 6.5% abv and just the right amount of smoke to the palette. Nice and dark! Cheers!:beer1:
Cool story about Tooheys,
I work with a genteleman name "Toohey"
he wrote to the brewery down in Lidcombe and asked about purchasing
some items for the bar he was building in his basement (up here in Western New York)
The sent him, easiily, five hundred dollars worth of items
Maredsous 10, to bad it's being discontinued.
Ithaca Beer Company: Flower Power India Pale Ale.
If you like Citrusy/Hoppy IPA's, this is a very good one. Borrowed pic...sorry.
I shaved, opened a bottle & just discovered that a nice Duvel ends up being a great after shave. I can never get over how white & fluffy that head is. If those bubbles were tighter, it would be as if the beer was topped with uberlather.

I hope this has not been posted yet, but we all need this beer style chart
POP CHART LAB
Don't think of it as a chart for info purposes only, thinK of it as a road map! Some of us have a long road ahead of us, and some of us know which road we will not go down again.
Last night I washed down some Dungeness crab with Sam Adams CHERRY WHEAT for the first time. Think I found myself a new favorite.
A while ago I posted my taste notes on three beers that I tasted while eating at B&B in the Brickell area in downtown Miami. Of the three, the dople bock is one of the best. Enjoy. HOG
Far left: Celebrator Double bock. German. Gravity 18.5. Fermentation: Top. Alcohol 6.7%. Taste notes: Nice dark beer, sweet initial taste, and slight smoky suggestion in its aroma
Center: Ayinger Brau Weisse. Wheat beer. German. Fermentation: Top. Alcohol 5.1%. Taste notes: Pale wheat beer, sour taste, effervescent character.
Right: Affligen. Blond ale. Belgium. Fermentation: Top. Alcohol 7%. Brewed by a recipe of the Benedictine monks of the abbey of Affligem. Hoppy aroma, lively and dry sensation in the mouth.:beer2:
Today Sam Adams blackberry witbier is what makes me happy.
Today a nice Koninck beer (belgium beer)
nice,i take another one;)
Been doing a lot of renovations on the bar/billards room something simple and easy to drink Labatts Blue EH.
All rightie then, let the drinking begin !
Ok so after washing down a few dungeness crabs last week with this wonderfully refreshing Sam Adams Cherry wheat, I decided to have another go at it today with some stone crab. End result = SIMPLY SUBLIME:y
Got a sixer of these up town today, drank some long ago when they first showed up in Texas. Had my curiosity running wild, so I picked some up to try again, WOW they are good !!!!!!
Attached is my contribution for Dec 3 Beer-of-the-Day thread. This bad boy is a German wheat beer, this bottle holds 1 pint .09 fl.oz of golden brew. It is unfiltered, you get lots of sediments rich in vitamins, unpasteurized and it continues to ferment in the bottle. You drink one of these and you'll want another.
Taste notes: Light firm body with plenty of champagne taste, lite carbonation. Distintive amber color, and a fine bouquet. And remember CHEER ON. HOG.
shave like a man, drink like a man
I agree, that beer is AWESOME!
Tonight it will be

I'm a simple man...same beer all the time. Pabst Blue Ribbon. :beer2::beer1:
Just poped the top on a pint of Grolsch. You get 4 pints for 10.00 around here. Its ok, after these are gone, its back to the Heinekens and the Sam Adams Winter Lager!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Didn't have one today, but as a Scotsman, sometimes you simply cannot beat a good ole pint of tennents lager.
Dawg Gawn Good Malt !!!
Here is a fine beer in the pilsner style, brewed south of the Rio Grande. This chubby bottle holds 12 oz of golden brew metered at 4.4% alcohol by volume. It has a sweet finish, light and refreshing. CHEER ON.HOG
