No worries my friend...your gold. ........time to ask yer daughter if she would like a pot of tea eh ?
they are all asleep, where i will be going just as soon as i post this. but she and i will have some of the czar nicholas from my earlier post in the morning and enjoy a pot together
:DFair enough my friend.Have a good night and Morning and well catch up soon then.
So here is my problem for tonight...... Sad but true that when it comes to a good cuppa at the restaurant(any of them really). there aint no sech critter. If you went to the Brown Palace, okay then, but the general "Herd menatlity" is "UH...Tea ?...Yeah we got it ?"You end up getting a luke warm pot of water and a choice of tea bag that is pretty much floor sweepings in a little muslin sack with a string.Sounds yummy don't it now. I think a brown or green Crayon dipped in hot water would fare better . So I guess I'm all tea hardcore now. Heck I'm not even wanting to step on coffee drinkers toes,I just want to be able to get a decent cuppa tea at the inn of choice so's I kin enjoy stuffin me gob .
Well....As the story goes,I have ended up back home and am currently sipping down a cup of Kusmi Tea (Prince Vladimere Blend). MMM nothing finer then a good cup O tea !! Payday is comin and I hope to see some Toika blend(Bergamot,Mandarin Orange ) or Maybe Anastasia Blend(Earl gray,Lemon and Orange Blossom) in my near Future. Yep.....I do like me some Tea nowadays.;)
hey steph, i looked at there site this evening, which one is closest to the czar nicholas i am currently drinking, the stuff that tastes like earl gray on steroids
I woudn't think of it that way Loon. Reverse that thought .What it sounds like is your preferential to Earl grey. Fair enough. You will like any of their Russian blends because most have Bergamot as an ingredient. They have a Straight up Earl Grey if that is what you would like. But I been looking at either the Anastasia or the Polish blend Earl grey. One is Earl grey with lemon and lime and the other is Earl grey with lemon and orange. Of course you could drink Czar Nichola's favorite for real which is called Bouquet of flowers which is Earl grey ,citrus and flower petals....oh and this just in heh...I just sawthat they have a smokey Earl grey. Now I know how you like that smokey stuff...least I think I do anyhow ?? Either way you won't be dissappointed. I just don't think that Czar Nick !! is very kosher...there's something artificial about them if that makes sense.
oh i like my smokey tea's that is for certain, i have been drinking that czar nicholas like you saw in that earlier pic, and i do admit i like it, cant brew it long or lots of tea leaves, or it does become undrinkable, but this would probably be as close to earl gray as i could get.
Oh then I would say definately go for one of the Kusmi Earl Grey's...seriously way truer Earl Gray and way better. No contest on that one my friend.
ok, will have to give it a try when i am ready, and the samovar also, that one looks very interesting.
Heh heh........That's the spirit man !! You won't be sorry.Kusmi is certainly like a fine Dovo of Tea . Like at least $200 dollar DOVO.
thats what scares me, i will like the tea, and then i wont order anything else, and as much as i drink, it will get very very expensive
Thing is,I've never had a smokey tea ever so if you get that,I'll will be ever waiting for a review on that one. Don't worry...If you like it then you like it.I see no harm in that ?. It's just another step in your romance with the Tea Queen. She will always be there for you and will always be kind. .........Wierd huh ?!
youve never tried a lapsang or even a russian tea caravan tea, i am surprised you need to run to your local tea shop and get some lapsang souchong and lock yourself in your home for a day and drink that, you will feel like your out camping the aroma is wonderful.
Soon Enough I'll be going towards one of the smokey Kusmis. I will admit that like your fear,I have become more fixed on their blends.Simply put because they are reall worth it. As mentioned earlier,I learned about these folks about 7-8 years ago and really haved liked them ever since. Which Reminds me....Prince Vlad is calling me to have another cup heh heh !:rofl2:
They even have an english and irish breakfast blend and I like my British teas .
cup hell i am working on my second pot of tea since i got up this evening around 9ish, so i will be up for a little while longer then i am off to beddy by, have to work tomorrow night, so i will be enjoying my lapsang, and the caravan teas at work
not much on english blends, more into china blacks
:borg:THERE IS NO HOPE FOR YOU lOON.....YOU HAVE BEEN ASSIMILATED....... heh hehe heheheh !:borg:
remember steph, i like pu erh, and lapsang, and the occasionaly assam, not to often though, have been getting into ceylons, thanks to nosewarmer, and i do have a thing for yorkshire harrogate, that is compliments of my friend at the julieanna tea shop in broadway va, my local shop of course, and this czar nicholas i purchased at a russian market in winchester va, along with a solid loaf of russian black bread. there is an even funnier story that goes along with the bread if you want to hear it
I too like Yorkshire Gold from T&H. Also this just in Herbal Tea - Black Tea - Green Tea - Crazy For Tea - For Great Health ! . Seems like a good site. And yes.....let's here bout the bread .
well, swmbo was working in the kitchen trying to clean it, and my boy was getting alittle lippy with her so she threw the loaf at him, and it hit him in the head, he goes running off crying, she didnt realize that it is a very solid and dense loaf of bread, only after i tapped her on the noggin did she realize that it did hurt when she hit him. she was thinking that it was this light fluffy airy loaf, not a dense brick like it is.
and steph, have you heard about the woman down in colorado springs who is doing all the yarn bombing in that town
Ooohh...god strike me...but that is kinda funny...but not..but is is. it will be funny to him when he's 20 .
this woman goes around and does these random acts of violence with fabric on different items in town, lightposts, fences, signs and other assorted things, i know sounds crazy but hey what do i expect from my sister.
Wowwww and yet again this is another reason why we will never be admitted into the United Federation of Planets .:w:roflmao
i dont know, at least its not a permanent fixture, and is easily removed if one is offended
Random acts of violence with bread then Yarn and textiles.......what's next Cheeze whiz ????!! Well....it is 2012 after all I guess. It's only gettin weirder from here.
lol, yes it is, well i am gonna finish this cup and head to bed myself, need to sleep for work tomorrow night, alas, back to the grindstone for me. god that sucks to, well atleast i have my pipes to look forward to.
All right then...Gnite and will chat again soon sir.:)
you to, and i hope that you get the eagle poop back soon so you can get a computer, these chats dont happen often enough
Will do M'man and I agree indeed. Eagle Poop.....you said Poop !
Heathens all of ya. Wot's rong wi' a bit 'o' good ol' Billy Tea, loike wot us ozzies drink down under... :) :p. Now that's tea wot'll put 'air on yer chest!
Mick
Well first off...I don't remeber harshin of Billy Tea.....but..how's that stuff go again now?
Build fire of decent Aussie hard wood, Fill billy from nearest creek, take billy to fire and place or set in or over the fire as ingenuity dictates, bring billy to a rolling boil, throw in a good handful of tea leaves, take off the boil after a half a minute (maybe use a stick so you don't burn the fingers), chuck in a gum leaf or two (yep them things that koalas eat all day long, and that acts as a slight narcotic, which is why koalas always seem so dopey all the time), ensure handle of billy is cooled down by gingerly touching it with bare fingers, pick up billy by handle and whirl it around in a big skywards/groundwards circle to settle the tea leaves and infuse the gum leaf flavours. Stop whirling billy without spilling tea all over the place.
Pour into tin cup add suger and powdered or condensed milk to taste...Or be a man and drink it black and unsweetened.
Mick
The taste likens to smokey, strong black tea with a hint of eucalyptus. Anyone tell you that Wichetty Grubs taste like chicken has either never tasted chicken or never tasted wichetty grubs, because wichetty grubs taste like sawdust, but they make for a pleasant snack while sipping on billy tea. Either wriggling or roasted is fine by me.
Mick
Well...If I must...I'll take roasted thank you.
Cup of the Day:
Sr. Earl...
