Heathens all of ya. Wot's rong wi' a bit 'o' good ol' Billy Tea, loike wot us ozzies drink down under... :) :p. Now that's tea wot'll put 'air on yer chest!
Mick
Well first off...I don't remeber harshin of Billy Tea.....but..how's that stuff go again now?
Build fire of decent Aussie hard wood, Fill billy from nearest creek, take billy to fire and place or set in or over the fire as ingenuity dictates, bring billy to a rolling boil, throw in a good handful of tea leaves, take off the boil after a half a minute (maybe use a stick so you don't burn the fingers), chuck in a gum leaf or two (yep them things that koalas eat all day long, and that acts as a slight narcotic, which is why koalas always seem so dopey all the time), ensure handle of billy is cooled down by gingerly touching it with bare fingers, pick up billy by handle and whirl it around in a big skywards/groundwards circle to settle the tea leaves and infuse the gum leaf flavours. Stop whirling billy without spilling tea all over the place.
Pour into tin cup add suger and powdered or condensed milk to taste...Or be a man and drink it black and unsweetened.
Mick
The taste likens to smokey, strong black tea with a hint of eucalyptus. Anyone tell you that Wichetty Grubs taste like chicken has either never tasted chicken or never tasted wichetty grubs, because wichetty grubs taste like sawdust, but they make for a pleasant snack while sipping on billy tea. Either wriggling or roasted is fine by me.
Mick
Well...If I must...I'll take roasted thank you.
Cup of the Day:
