Tea anyone ??!!

For me, just so long as the result is worth the effort. It don't matter how you get there sometimes, it's where you end up. And, what, pray tell, do you consider a scorcher? I hate to brag, that's a lie, but around here we are in the "perfect" time. 75 for a high, and 84 for a low. Last weekend, it was 102 and nights of 75. I hope it lasts for a while. But, I'd kill for some rain.

it's gettin nice n cold here just the way I likes it...heat melts me beyond 70.....:)

I have no qualm with an iced tea....beats a soda any day in my book. I do like a fizz every now and then but the way corn syrup is abused here...I stay away. Curious Mick....Do they corn syrup and soybean oil the food to death in your neck of the woods like they do here ?

I'm with ya brother, I no like heat. I'd rather be cold for a week than sweat for a day. Getting back about the original thread, since I can't sleep, I might as well have a cup of tea. I picked up some Bigalow green tea, I'll give that a shot. Yeah, I'll use the sauce pan, and I'll probably not notice as to what the water was heated in.

Just to be a little biased for a moment....it's been found that Black teas have antioxidant benifits as well...however ,it has also been found that adding a milk product to an antioxidant product kills the benefit...it's the casiene that does it. That means if you add blueberries to yogurt,you will get tha benefits of the bacteria in the yogurt and the fiber benefits of the berries but not the antioxidant benefits. I'm not a scientist or a doctor.....but I did stay at a Holiday Inn once .:thinking:

Well for me,anything above 25C is getting there...We were in the mid 30's (Celsius) today with a high humidity level that got worse as the day went on, but still didn't manage to offer the relief of a storm.

No. Not like they do in the US, but we do try hard to get to those sorts of levels here in some cases. A really sad state of affairs if you ask me.

As for if my efforts were worth it regarding my iced tea. Taste. No, definately not worth the effort. Experience. Very much worth it. I have new ideas to try, although using the same cheap, barbaric containers and 'pot', for now. :)
